group advert analysis

Before starting to design our Adverts me and my group members had a meeting where we discussed the image of our artists as it is important that are image and style is shown through the album. We made a list of different things that we want our artist to come through as. We all went of producing our own designs keeping in mind the artists image aswell as the codes and conventions of a pop album advert. and whether we would stick to the conventions our break them.

Rhiann's Album Advert

• I like the image used on this album advert as the artist looks very glamorous and proud. She come across as a proud pop star that is typical of the pop genre.
• This album advert is very conventional to the pop genre as Rhian has used pink and purple which are 'girly' colours and are typically used in pop album adverts.
• The image is very stereotypical however, their is a shadow on the artists face that can be edited on photoshop.

Nadia's Album Advert  

• This Album Advert was very simple.
• It had a glamorous stereotypical image of the artist on the front. She is seen wearing glamorous attractive outfit.
• However this Album Advert isn't consistent with the colours used in the music video aswell as throughout nadia's digipack.

My Album Advert

• This digipack was very consistent with its colour scheme as the same colours were used throughout aswell as very similar to the colours of what the artist was wearing.
• The background of the image was very attractive and was made with bright colours which are typically seen in pop Album adverts.
• This album advert could have used the similar colours that were used in the music video as there were more use of pink and red throughout the music video.

Final Group Album Advert

Reflection
We as a group decided to use Rhiann's Albums she followed the colours that were used in the music video. We as a group  decided on some changes that we will make to Rhian's Album advert. We changed the background image of the Album Advert as we felt to give it more consistency we should use the pink background image used in our music video and other slides on the digipack.
