Audience Feedback

Audience feedback is the most important aspect as the audience is the one that brings the revenue and makes one's work credible. Audience are the ones that are going to view any piece of work that is produced. They are responsible of making a music video popular as more the people watch it the more they will spread the word which will lead to the popularity of music videos. The main aim for a director is to produce something that will be appreciated by the Audience. Every music video has a specific target Audience that is kept in mind when producing it. This is done to please the audience and encourage them to buy the artists album.

I decided to screen my music video on youtube.Youtube is a platform that allows millions of people from all around the world to view and give their opinions on videos. Youtube has unlimited videos on it and it can be viewed by anyone from anywhere. We decided to upload our music video onto youtube as it is an easy way to receive feedback and viewers can comment and give a thumbs up or down to show whether they like what they see or not. We uploaded the music video on youtube with a little message telling them the background of the music video and requesting the viewers to leave comment on what they think about it.
We also screened our music video to our media class as they are our target Audience. We played the music video and asked each person one good and bad thing about our creation.

Receiving this feedback will allow me to understand what is good and bad about my music video. The feedback will allow me to understand what exactly I need to improve. As the screening was for people that are my target audience it will allow me to understand what they exactly think of my music video.I can then take the feedback and use them to make the changes to my music video so its more appreciated by the target Audience.

These comments were very convincing as they appreciated the things that we did well in the music video. The montage that we created used a range of clips that included different camera shots, different costumes and makeup. The montage was range of clips that are followed one by another to go well with the beat of the music. Pop genre is known for using different costumes and makeup and that was evident throughout my music video as we used range of different ‘girly’ costumes and hair and makeup that made the artist look glamorous.

1. I really liked the idea of the hearts background however I feel it could have been executed much well.

2. I liked the music video however I feel there should be more narrative to it.

The idea of the artist laying on range of different sized hearts was liked however they felt that it would have been executed better. I felt that specific shot could have been angled better that allowed the audience to view the background aswell as the artist clearly. Another comment included that the music video didn’t have much narrative to it however I feel that my music video is a mixture of both narrative and performance based. We used a range of locations such as London ye , the strand , London bridge.
